VIRTUAL ENRICHMENT LESSONS
Explore history online with our educators! New-York Historical offers a bounty of live, remote lessons on topics ranging from colonial America to the Civil War and Reconstruction to World War II and the civil rights movement. In each online lesson, a New-York Historical Society educator conducts a lively and interactive conversation with students as they examine museum artifacts, paintings, documents, and virtual exhibitions.
Students are invited to work collaboratively to find answers to history’s big questions, and in the process, they develop their critical thinking skills and expand their understanding of our collective past. Each series tracks with city and state social studies standards and will provide your students with a digital toolkit they can use to keep their studies going long after the series is completed.
We offer lessons in three categories:
- In-Depth Enrichment: One lesson a month for the entire school year
- Bundles: A short series that takes a deeper dive into a specific topic
- À la Carte: Lessons that can be purchased individually
